Did you just come home to find a pool in your basement, that wasn’t there before?

 Unexpected water damage and flooding can happen at various different levels of concern.

  • Burst Pipe
  • Dishwasher or washing machine malfunction
  • Sub Pump Overflow
  • Toilet Overflow
  • Floor Drain Backup
  • Sewage

What ever has happened, and no matter the severity, water damage can cause further concerns if not handled properly.

There are steps that must be taken right away.

You should:

  • Stop the source of water if possible
  • Assess if electrical might be an issue in the area – if there is a threat, call Highland right away.
  • If the area is safe, lift or remove important contents.  Make sure to wear rubber boots if the water is not from a waterline.
  • Call Highland Restoration, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Contact your Insurance Provider and let them know Highland Restoration is there to provide Emergency Services.

We will have one of our fully trained and certified Project Managers contact you within 15min of your call.  A crew will be dispatched if required within the hour.

Our uniformed technicians will perform the following Emergency Services:

    • Assess the loss – what material was affected
    • Categorize with water source – Clean, grey or black
    • Remove drywall and/or debris that may inhibit proper drying
    • Assure all contents are able to be dried in place.  If not, the items may be removed and dried at our facility.
    • Start the drying process as outlined in the standard procedure set by the IICRC

In the days to follow, technicians will monitor the drying process using moisture meters.  Once everything is dry, a project manager will arrive to scope the area, noting what may need to be replaced or repaired.  This information will be presented to your insurance company in the form of an Estimate.  You may also receive a copy of the estimate with a full explanation of what needs to be done and why in order to bring the area back to pre-loss condition.
